What Makes Three Blue Ducks A Great Wedding Venue?
As Sydney-based wedding stylists and wedding planners, we are constantly on the look out for the next big thing.
There's so much to love about the true rustic history of the industrial space. The overall vibe of the indoor and outdoor event space makes Three Blue Ducks a unique venue for modern couples who want something with a twist.
If you want, Three Blue Ducks can be the central location of your big day. After getting ready, you can have your wedding ceremony in the garden courtyard. This outdoor sun-drenched space can seat 40 and allow for another 80 standing guests. Then you can go to nearby locations for photo opportunities with your wedding photographer while your guests chill at The Cannery (there's a whiskey, gin, rum and vodka spirits distillery on the grounds). Then you can come back to the restaurant, enjoy your deliciosu canapes before the real party begins.
Whilst the high ceilings can make installations difficult (e.g., we will require a cherry picker), there is something about high ceilings that give an events space that added ooomph factor. Instead of hanging installs from the ceiling, we recommend suspended backdrops or table-top elements to create a sense of height and scale.
One of the advantages of hiring the Three Blue Ducks at Rosebery is that it comes somewhat styled - the stripped back brick walls, indoor plants and hanging chandeliers helps lend the restaurant to either a rustic or industrial theme.
What this means for you is that, unlike a completely blank canvas, you can save money on having to bring in your own major decor and styling elements. What you end up with is a relaxed funky space that feels warm and inviting whilst remaining spacious (but not too spacious).
